The independent Polish consultant Konrads Muzika stated that the worst moment in the last two years has been reached at the front.
He pointed to three main problems on the Ukrainian side: lack of ammunition, soldiers and fortifications.
The security policy expert also emphasizes that all the billions promised by the US will go to Ukraine this year, but it will not happen in a few days, so in terms of military shortage, the months of May and June will be the worst points for Ukraine.
“We are talking about June, when the situation could improve. I don’t expect too much good news in May. Something can change significantly in June, so the goal is to hold on,” said Bērziņa.
The loss of Russian troops in Ukraine has reached 475,300 soldiers by Monday morning, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Army.
According to the data of the general staff, 1040 invaders were destroyed during the day.
Since the beginning of the repeated invasion on February 24, 2022, Russia has lost 7,380 tanks, 14,213 armored personnel carriers, 12,250 cannons and mortars, 1,057 rocket launchers, 791 anti-aircraft artillery, 349 airplanes, 325 helicopters, 21 48 cruise missiles, 26 ships and speedboats, one submarine, 16,477 cars and tankers, as well as 2,008 units of specialized equipment.
The extent of Russia’s losses is being clarified, as the acquisition of information is hindered by hostilities.
