Such an incident last happened last weekend, on a flight from Chicago to the city of Marquette in the state of Michigan, USA.

The centenarian Patricija registered herself on the flight as an adult, but due to a technical error, the registration system indicated that the seat was reserved for a baby born in 2022. The mixture has thoroughly confused the flight attendants.

Patricia emphasizes that this is not the first time that the airline’s check-in system has mistaken her for a baby.

The old man flies to Michigan every year to visit relatives. Patricia has concluded that the airline’s check-in system cannot capture the fact that she was born in 1922, not 2022.

“My daughter booked me a seat on the plane online, but the system at the airport thought I was born in 2022, not 1922,” says Patricia.

Once, due to a glitch, airport staff met Patricia without a wheelchair after flights, thinking that they would simply escort the baby through the terminal. The elderly woman had to wait until the rest of the passengers got off, then a wheelchair was delivered to her.

“I would like them to fix the computer because my poor daughter had to carry all our luggage and clothes from one exit to another,” said Patricia.
