“During the last months, NATO allies have not provided the support we had promised,” the head of the alliance said in a speech during his visit to Berlin.
“But it is not too late for Ukraine to prevail because our support is on the way,” he added.
Due to the lack of weapons and ammunition, the situation in several sectors of the Ukrainian front is difficult.
Stoltenberg pointed out that the US Congress has finally approved an ambitious military aid package for Ukraine, new commitments have been expressed by other countries, including Great Britain, Germany and the Netherlands.
“Now it is our responsibility – to turn these commitments into real supplies of arms and ammunition, and to do it quickly,” emphasized the NATO Secretary General.
Stoltenberg also lashed out at China, accusing Beijing of “supporting Russia’s war economy” by sharing high technology that can be used in the production of missiles, tanks and aircraft.
“China says it wants good relations with the West. At the same time, Beijing continues to fuel the biggest conflict in Europe since World War II,” the alliance leader said, noting that “you can’t have both.”
