“Politico”: The United States is preparing to supply Ukraine with weapons worth six billion dollars

The United States is preparing to order manufacturers and deliver weapons worth six billion dollars to Ukraine, reports “Politico”.

The publication indicates that for this amount, contracts will be signed with US companies for the production of new weapons and ammunition for Ukraine, so Ukraine will receive this armament after some time, possibly after several years.

Referring to informed sources, “Politico” reports that the US administration is ordering Patriot air defense missile systems, artillery shells, drones, anti-drone weapons, air-to-air missiles and other armaments for Ukraine.

Six billion dollars for these orders will be taken from the $61 billion in aid to Ukraine approved this week.

Immediately after the approval of this aid, the United States announced the immediate shipment of $1 billion worth of armaments to Ukraine.

US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin could announce the $6 billion aid on Friday at the regular meeting of Ukraine’s allies in Ramstein, Politico writes.
