Sesks/Francis finishes the difficult ERC Canary Islands Rally with 20th place

The winner was the Frenchman Ioann Bonato (Citroen C3), who was ahead of his compatriot Mathieu Franceschi (Skoda Fabia RS) by a mere 2.8 seconds, and by 29.7 seconds – the local Alejandro Cachona (Toyota GR Yaris Rally 2). .

The Latvian crew, which starts with “Toyota GR Yaris Rally 2”, showed the 11th result in the first stage of the second stage of the season on Thursday, but faced technical problems in the first stages of Friday and after seven stages ranks 27th in the competition of 35 crews, the leading drivers losing almost two minutes.

After two stages, Franceschi leads with 56 points, New Zealander Hayden Pedon (Hyundai i20 N) has 41 points, and Simon Tempestini (Skoda Fabia RS), the winner of the first stage, Romanian, has 33 points.

This season, the ERČ calendar includes eight competition stages. In the first stage held in April, Seska’s crew retired in the penultimate stage.

Last year Cesk/Francis ERČ raced with Škoda Fabia RS and won the second place in the overall standings, losing only to the crew of New Zealanders Hayden Paddon and John Kennard. The Latvian crew will compete in two stages of the World Rally Championship (WRC) this season.
