The “Texans” club has published an official statement in which it reports that a football player of the team was involved in the shooting. Dell was injured at the Cabana Live nightclub in Florida. Fortunately, the player’s injuries are not serious and he has already been discharged from the hospital. The club will continue to stay in close contact with Del and his family, promising to keep them updated.

As “Texans” reporter Aaron Wilson writes, the mass shooting took place on the evening of Saturday, April 27. Del was not involved in it, he got caught in the crossfire by accident. The 24-year-old is expected to make a full recovery.

In total, ten people were injured in the shooting. No one is in critical condition. At the moment, the main suspect is a 16-year-old teenager who has been detained.

According to the information available to the police, the incident in the nightclub started with an exchange of words, which turned into a physical conflict. The suspect, who was not involved in the fight, allegedly pulled out a handgun and began firing into the crowd. The shooter was stopped by a security guard, who was also able to disarm the teenager.

It was the 12th mass shooting in Florida of 2024 and the 126th in the United States.

Dell made his NFL debut in the 2023/2024 season, which ended in December due to his injury.
