Yesterday and last night, four matches in the first round of the Stanley Cup took place in the National Hockey League (NHL). The New York “Rangers” became the first team to reach the next round, also defeating the Washington “Capitals” in the fourth game – 4:2.

After two periods, the score was 2:2, in the third period, Artemiy Panarin scored the majority, but at the end of the match, Jack Roslovik threw the puck into an empty goal, forging ranger fourth win in a row.

The Colorado Avalanche beat the Winnipeg Jets 5-1 to make it 3-1 in the series. Valery Nichushkin scored a hat-trick for the winners, Arturi Lehkonen, Keil Makar (both 1+1) and Nathan McKinnon (0+2) each scored two points.

Meanwhile, one of the NHL’s most productive teams, the Edmonton Oilers beat the Los Angeles Kings 1-0, making only 13 shots on goal during the game. Evan Bouchard scored the only goal in the middle of regular time, while “Oilers” goalkeeper Stuart Skinner saved all 33 shots.
