The Latvian motocross championship started with the 1st stage in Aizpute, on the “Misiņkalna” track. The fight for victory in the combined races of the MX1 and MX2 classes was very engaging. In the first of them, Estonian Meiko Vetiks and Lithuanian Donats Jazdausks were the leaders, followed by Uldis Freibergs and Toms Macuks. However, a technical cataclysm happened in the middle of the trip, as a result of which Jazdauskas lost a lot of time, while Vetiks and Macuks broke the motorcycle chain, which caused them to retire. After gaining the lead, Freiberg held it until the finish, ahead of the Lithuanian by 40 seconds.

There were no such drastic changes in the second trip. Coming to the leader’s honor quite quickly, this time Macuks was firmly first, while Uldis Freibergs finished second.

Thus, Uldis Freibergs won the stage in the sum of two races. The second was Donats Jazdauskas, and the third was the Estonian Mick Martins Lohmus. Raul Blumfeld won the MX 2 class rating. In the MX 125 class, Jēkabs Kubuliņš remained unbeaten, ahead of the closest follower Albertus Knapši by more than 20 seconds in both races.
