The 17-match series between Toronto and Boston continued tonight with Canada taking the lead as 21-year-old Matthew Nees scored his first playoff goal of the season in the 34th minute.

The Bostonians did well at the cut of thirds when Ilya Samsonov was beaten by Trent Frederick and Jake Debrask.

In the 52nd minute, the puck was delivered to both fortresses – at first, Tyler Bertuzzi’s shot cheered the Toronto fans, but after 28 minutes, Brad Marchand regained control for the guests.

The Maple Leafs’ chances of a comeback were largely cut short with 64 seconds left in regulation when John Tavares was ejected for holding. Toronto was able to replace the goalkeeper with an additional forward, but soon the puck was sent into an empty net by Marchans, who had 2+1 tonight, but 2+4 in the series as a whole.

The defending champion Las Vegas “Golden Knights” allowed only 21 shots on goal to the Dallas team, scoring first, but they came back after less than a minute and a half and took the lead in the second period, eventually winning 3-1.

Dallas’ Jason Robertson and “Golden Knights” sniper Jonathan Marchessault beat the goalkeepers in the first two games. Defenseman Noah Hennefin scored the game-winning puck, but Jack Aikel scored on an empty net.

In the West, the advantage of home games has been taken over by the Los Angeles “Kings”, who beat the Edmonton team (5:4) in overtime.

Adrian Kempe managed to get a two-puck advantage for the southerners in the first 15 minutes after Anze Kopitar’s passes. The guests took the lead within three minutes, Dylan Holloway and Zach Hyman, who has four goals in two battles, scored for the “Oilers” in the middle of the second period.

The third quarter began with the king short-lived lead, however, Los Angeles didn’t have to bite their fingers after the game, as Slovenian Kopitar scored the winner in the 127th second of overtime.
