Opening of the “Veloactive 2024” challenge | liepajniekiem.lv

On Sunday, April 28, a week before the ambitious orienteering event “Liepāja’s Footsteps”, cyclists are invited to open the active cycling season all day long, ending on Liepāja’s beach, as well as start the virtual challenge competition “Veloaktīvs 2024”. This year, cyclists will be able to individually collect the kilometers traveled in the challenge with several intermediate finishes until September 27.

April 28 – the opening event of the active cycling season and “Veloaktivs 2024”

• 10.00 – 17.00 cycle through 4 checkpoints in a mixed order of your choice:
  • • Cafe “Kubs” in Zirgu Island
  • • Liepāja Olympic Center Pool & SPA
  • • KURTS coffee, Tirgoņu Street 24
  • • Chili Pizza, XL Sala, Klaipeda Street 62
• 17.00 gathering on the Liepāja beach near the letters of Liepāja (near the Rescue Station, Jūrmala Parks 2)
• 17.30 joint photo
• 17.45 award ceremony of the opening event

The challenge is organized by the Liepāja bicycle activists and winter swimmers club “VeloRonis” with the support of the city of Liepaja.
