Two of Merzlikin’s teammates and the star of Detroit – the USA announces 15 players for the WC

One of the opponents of the Latvian national team in the world championship is the US national team https://twitter.com/usahockey/status/1783194486618656819 15 players who will participate in the upcoming tournament.

Nine forwards, five defenders and one goalkeeper are currently in the application. All 15 represent ten NHL teams, the largest representation is the Ottawa “Senators” – three players, while the Columbus “Blue Jackets” represented by Elvia Merzlikina have delegated two hockey players to the USA national team – Zeke Werenski and Johnny Goodreau.

The Latvian national team will conclude the WC group tournament with a match against the USA on May 21. Last year, the team led by Harijas Vītoliņš won the bronze medals directly in the game against the Americans.

It was previously announced that John Hines has been appointed as the head coach of the US national team.
