“Ventspils” away game will start at 19:00 and it will be broadcast live on the “Delfi.ee” website.

Ventspilnieki won the first match of the quarter-final series with 103:69 and took a 1-0 lead in the series up to two wins. If a third game is needed in the series, it will take place on April 5, with “Ventspilij” as the home team.

“Ventspils” took fourth place in the main tournament with a balance of 20-10, and “University of Tartu”https://www.ventasbalss.lv/”Maks & Moorits” (19-11) took fifth place.

In both games of the main tournament of this season, Ventspils won. First, they won away in overtime with 88:83, but at home they defeated their opponents with 92:63.

On the other hand, at 19:00, “Ogre”, which failed in the first game, will host the Riga-based Ukrainian team “Prometey” of Slobojansk at home. The match will be broadcast live on the “Sportacentrs.com” platform.

In the first match of the series, “Prometey” celebrated a victory at home with 97:82 and reached 1-0 in the series. If necessary, the third game of the series will be played on April 5.

“Prometey” took second place in the main tournament with 26 wins, while “Ogre” won 17 wins and ranked seventh.

This season, in November, “Ogre” already caused one surprise to the Ukrainian club, winning 85:76 away from home. The guests also won the second game, “Prometey” getting revenge with 91:68.

On Monday, the place in the semi-finals was secured by “VEF Rīga”, which was superior to “Rīgas Zeļliam” with 2-0 in the quarter-finals, while Tallinn’s “Kalev”https://www.ventasbalss.lv/”Cramo” beat “Parna Sadam” with 2-0 , also reaching the semi-finals.

In addition to the Riga-based Ukrainian team Slobojanskas “Prometey” this season, “VEF Rīga”, “Ventspils”, “Liepāja”, “Ogre”, “University of Latvia”, “Valmiera Glass” are competing in the LIBL https://www.ventasbalss.lv/”Vidzemes” University” and “Rīgas Zelli”. In the main tournament, the teams competed in a two-round tournament, after which the best eight got the right to participate in the playoffs. In the quarter-finals and semi-finals, the winners are determined in a best-of-two series, but in the final, one match will be played on the court of the team that was in the highest place in the main tournament.

The best men’s basketball clubs of Latvia and Estonia played in a joint championship for the first time in the 2019 season, when 15 teams participated in the competition. “Ventspils” basketball players became the first winners of the league in the final four tournament.

Last season, in the final of the “Final 4” tournament, the basketball players of Slobojanska “Prometey” became the champions.
