Last night in the National Basketball Association (NBA), a scandalous game between the Philadelphia “76ers” and the Los Angeles “Clippers” took place, where in one of the decisive moments of the match, the referees made a mistake by not recording a violation of the rules.

In the game where James Harden experienced his return to Philadelphia, the winner was decided only at the end of the fight. Kawhi Leonard scored a two-point layup with 15.7 seconds left in regulation to give the Clippers a 108-107 lead.

The 76ers’ Kelly Oubre then had two chances to pull out the win. If in the first episode, when there were 5.1 seconds left on the scoreboard, his pass was blocked by Leonard, then in the second moment the game time ran out and Ubre could not throw the shot in time. True, shortly before the moment of the shot, there was noticeable contact with Ubre, which was not recorded as a rule violation.

This made Philadelphia head coach Nick Nurse “explode”, who went to the referees to protest. He was joined by the “victim” Ubre, who did not control his emotions and, pointing his finger at each judge individually, called them “bitches”.

It didn’t change the outcome, which allowed the Clippers to win, but it’s common practice for NBA referees to comment on controversial episodes on their official X account after games. It happened this time as well – the main referee of the game between “76ers” and “Clippers” Kevin Scott announced that he and his colleagues had made a mistake, and in the last episode of the match, where Ubre went through, Paul George should have recorded a violation of the rules.

It was the 45th success of the season for the Clippers, which puts them in fourth place in the Western Conference. The 76ers are in eighth place in the East with a 39-34 record.
