Since the 1980s, more than 21 million Camrys have been sold worldwide. The design of the latest generation model was created in the USA, and it is clear that Camry has visually become closer to its relatives from the premium segment. The five-sided protrusion and bumper are modeled after Lexus. Everywhere except China, the sedan will continue to drive with a combined power plant based on a 2.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine. Power – 225 hp. On the road, the new Camry seems extremely European, as Toyota has perfected the sedan’s suspension. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes less than 8 seconds.
The wheelbase of the sedan has not changed, but the car is longer on the overhang base. There is a lot of space in the back, while the front panel with the new multimedia screen even remotely resembles a Lexus. The new Camry will be sold in Europe only in a few countries – Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and the Baltic States, and besides, cars made in Japan, not in the USA, will come to us. In Latvia, the new Camry will be available for purchase in September, while orders will start to be accepted already in May.
