Last night there were several games in the National Hockey League (NHL). In one of them, the Florida “Panthers” lost to the New York “Islanders” 2-3, but despite this they guaranteed a place in the Stanley Cup.

In the “Panthers” team, which sent Uvi Balinski back to the farm club on Wednesday, captain Alexander Barkov stood out with a goal and an assist, and Vladimir Tarasenko also scored a goal. Jean-Gabriel Pajo contributed to the success of the “Islanders” with 1+1, but Matthew Barzal and Adam Pelek each scored an accurate shot.

The Carolina Hurricanes did a big favor for Florida, defeating the Detroit Red Wings 4-0 – thanks to this result, both the Panthers, Hurricanes and Boston Bruins, who did not go to the field last night, secured a place in the playoffs. In the Carolina team, Sebastian Aho and Seth Jarvis scored three (1+2) points each, Brady Shay and Martin Nechas scored, and Jake Guentzel had two assists.

At the moment, five teams are known that will play in the Stanley Cup – in the Eastern Conference, in addition to the already mentioned Panthers, Hurricanes and Bruins, the New York Rangers, who were the first to guarantee a place in the play-off on Tuesday, were already safe. Meanwhile, in the West, it was done last night by the Dallas Stars, who defeated the Vancouver Canucks represented by Theodore Blüger and Artur Shilov.
