Until now, adults paid 0.30 euros for visits to public toilets. Kristīne Stukina, production director of “Zemgales EKO”, states that the fee for visiting the toilet was last updated in 2019, and during these five years the cost of toilet management has increased.

It is important to emphasize that the fee for visiting the toilet will remain the same for students – the service will be available to them for 0.10 euros. On the other hand, preschool children, as well as persons with disabilities, do not have to pay for public toilets, as before. It should be noted that the decision previously approved at the council meeting, which provides for the exemption of children under 18 years of age from the fee for using the city’s public toilets in Ozolskvere and Uzvaras Park, also remains in force. On the other hand, public toilets are available for all residents free of charge in the Post Island and Raina Park. It should be noted that, due to technical reasons, the stationary toilets in Raini’s Park have not been working since last year, instead a mobile toilet has been provided near the children’s playground.

“Zemgales EKO” operates public toilets in the square behind the cultural center, in Uzvaras park, in Raina park, in Ozolskvēr, at the parking lot of the tower of the Holy Trinity Church, in Posta Island, in the area of the city bus station, as well as at the “Cukurfabrika” railway station on Pārmiju Street 2.
