Every year in the spring and summer season, Jūrmala is dressed up in a gorgeous flower arrangement, which delights seaside residents and city guests. This spring, almost 80 thousand flower plants are blooming in city squares and parks – more than 39 thousand annual flowers and 40 thousand bulbs.

At the moment, the 40,000 bulbous flowers planted in autumn – tulips, daffodils, hyacinths and camassias – are blooming magnificently. The compositions of richly blooming tulips and bright widows can best be enjoyed in the squares near the Dzintari concert hall, near the Majoru station, Horna garden, Jaundubultu park and Mellužu park.

According to the administration of the city of Jūrmala, mixtures of bulbous flowers are used in the magnificently blooming spring beds, ensuring longer and more abundant flowering and a variety of colors. In order to highlight the contour of the hollows, brighter colored widows are planted along the edges, which do not lose their decorativeness until the middle of June.

The beds with the most colors and decorative plants can be seen in Horn’s garden, where more than 4,000 widows and almost 10,000 bulbous flowers bloom. In the summer, the flower beds will be colored in shades of pink, purple and yellow, which will be decorated with pink cannas, snapdragons, bright inflorescences of zinnias and dahlias, delicate and airy gauras and other plants that will fill Horn’s garden with the magic of flowers.
