From May 13 to June 5, changes in train movement due to repairs – Staburags.lv

Due to the railway infrastructure modernization works planned by VAS “Latvijas dzelzceļš” to increase the speed of train movement on the section Lielvārde – Aizkraukle from May 13 to June 5, changes have been introduced in the movement of trains and in some cases passenger transportation will be provided by buses.

In general, the movement of individual trains on the following routes has been affected due to the planned railway modernization works in Lielvārde – Skrīveri:

  • Riga – Daugavpils, Riga – Krāslava, Riga – Indra, as well as Indra – Riga, Krāslava – Riga, Daugavpils – Riga, Līvāni – Riga, Zilupe – Riga, Rēzekne II – Riga, Krustpils – Riga, Gulbene – Riga and Madona – Riga . In the direction from Riga, the most significant changes will start from Lielvārde, with trains entering the terminal points later, while in the direction of Riga, trains will depart from the terminal point earlier, entering the capital according to the schedule. At the same time, the Līvāni – Riga train will be canceled on Sundays.
