The biomedical innovation event organized by the Baltic Biomaterials Center of Excellence (BBCE) will take place on May 15 «Riga Biohack #1: Biomedicine edition». The event will bring together leading biotechnological and biomedical researchers, entrepreneurs and business professionals to get to know the latest technologies together and, accompanied by experienced mentors, think about their possible application and implementation in the market.
It is planned that «Riga Biohack #1: Biomedicine edition» will serve as a platform where researchers will have the opportunity to present their technologies and, together with business students and professionals, think about their possible application in the medical sector. Within the framework of this event, participants will be given the opportunity not only to expand their knowledge about the introduction of biomedical innovations to the market, but also to meet like-minded people who could potentially become co-founders of a science-intensive start-up.
Also, using the resources of Riga Technical University (RTU) Science and Innovation Center (ZIC), «Biocatalyst Foundation Venture Studio» and technology incubator «UniLab», the participants of the event will be offered individualized support for the commercialization path and starting a science-intensive business.

The event will take place on May 15 from 9.00 a.m. to 18.00 at RTU Institute of Architecture and Design, auditorium 116, Ķipsalas Street 6, Riga. Registration until 14. for May: https://ej.uz/Riga_BioHack (the number of places is limited).
The participants of the event, who will be able to find the best commercial applications of technology, will have the opportunity to present their project at the most ambitious science-intensive technology industry conference in the Baltics “Deep Tech Atelier 2024”, which will take place from May 16 to 17 at the Fantadroms conference center, Gustava Zemgala street 76, Riga.
“Riga Biohack” is organized by Baltic Biomaterials Center of Excellence (BBCE) partners – Riga Technical University (RTU), Latvian Institute of Organic Synthesis (OSI), Riga Stradins University (RSU), in cooperation with the “Biocatalyst” foundation and RTU ZIC.
