Reflecting on his daily duties, Jānis, the driver of the heavy vehicle, was carrying the load along Krustpils Street. While driving his vehicle, the driver wanted to get to Piedrujas street, but at some point the man’s plans were interrupted by a small bang that sounded from the front of the car. “I didn’t brake suddenly, but slowly, slowly we got so far – I pushed him for about 150 meters,” says the truck driver.
Speaking about the damages caused to the vehicle, Jānis admits that they will be assessed by the insurers. Upon a quick visual inspection, the driver admits that they are not too heavy. The Scania driver adds that he was not physically hurt, and he even feels sorry for the driver of the car.
“I drove forward. I had to make a right turn. I turned on the turn signal. A bang followed, and we “kissed”, says the car driver Sergej.
Despite the disturbing emotions experienced during the traffic accident, Sergej also maintains his calm and youthful spirit. The man’s planned route took him to the medics for a health check-up, but the hasty maneuver at the wheel of the Volvo delayed those plans considerably. “For the first time in my life I have such an accident. There have been no accidents. I’ve been driving for more than 20 years, and here it is,” said the car driver.
The two vehicle drivers were not injured in the accident. The men, however, did not hide their disappointment at the fact that the planned daily work had deviated from the schedule.
