The juniors break in the 3rd period and lose to the Slovaks – Floorball – Sportacentrs.com

From the very beginning of the match, the opponents had a considerable advantage, because, first of all, they looked physically stronger and were faster. However, the result of the game was revealed by our floorball players – in the middle of the first period, Marta Reke received a pass from Katrina Dartas Kärklinas, who scored accurately from the left side – 1:0. During the 12th minute, the opponents even scored two goals, taking the reins into their own hands. Soon after, the Latvian women won the right to participate in the games in the numerical majority. In the 16th minute, after a pass from Elina Diece, our captain Annie Darta Dankfelde was the first to get the rebound, who restored the balance to the scoreboard – 2:2 from a narrow angle. That’s how the first third ended. At the beginning of the second period, the Slovak women needed only 16 seconds to take the lead again – 3:2. Not even a minute passed when the connection between Katrīna Dartas Kārkliņa and Marta Reki worked again, which restored the tie – 3:3. In the second third, no more goals were scored, but the advantage of the opponents in time became more and more impressive – the Slovak women made four times more shots than our floorball players (16:4). In the last period, the pressure of the opponents started to bear fruit for them. Slovakia scored five more goals and celebrated an 8-3 victory, virtually securing their place in the world’s top six.
