The minimum air temperature record for the day, decade and month was broken in Rezekne, where the air temperature dropped to minus 5.1 degrees, and in Dagda, where the thermometer dropped to minus 3.5 degrees.

On the other hand, the daily minimum air temperature records were broken in Madona, where the air temperature dropped to minus 5.5 degrees, in Alūksne, where it was minus 4.1 degrees cold, and in Gulbene, where the air cooled down to minus 4 degrees.

Readers of the “tv3.lv” portal sent photos of the Thursday morning frost in various Latvian cities. For example, near Aiviekste the thermometer has dropped to -6.4 degrees, but in Stämerien it has shown -4 degrees. Also, news about the cool morning came from Jumprava, Čiekurkalns in Riga, Vaiňode, Krimulda, Valmiera, etc.
