As the air mass gradually flows in from the north, it will become colder both at night and during the day – in certain nights and mornings, frosts will form on the top layer of the grass, even strong in the east of the country. During the days this week, the air will not warm up more than +8…+15 degrees.
Although it will rain for a while during the working days and, starting from Wednesday, wet snow is even possible in some places, the holidays will pass without significant precipitation. At the end of the week, the wind will become gusty, reaching 15-17 m/s in gusts on the coast on Friday, informs the Center of Environment, Geology and Meteorology.
On Thursday, May 9, the amount of clouds will gradually increase and cover most of the sky. In places, mainly in the west of the country, we will observe rain, and when a cooler air mass flows in from the north, wet snow is also possible in some places. A light to moderate southerly wind will blow.
Although the minimum air temperature will be in the range of +1…+5 degrees mostly in the coastal areas and in the west of the country, frost is expected in the central and eastern regions of the country – in places in the east it will even be very strong, with the thermometer falling to the -5 degree mark!
During the day, the air will warm up to +7…+12 degrees.
At the end of the week, as the atmospheric pressure drops again, precipitation is expected almost all over the country on Friday, but the holidays promise to be dry, and the sky will clear in many places. The west wind will increase, at times it will be gusty. The windiest day will be Friday – on the coast the wind in gusts could reach 15-17 m/s! The nights will no longer be so cool, in most parts of the country the thermometer will drop to +3…+8 degrees, only frost is possible on the top layer of the grass. During daylight hours, the maximum air temperature will remain similar to the previous days.
In the new week, the weather conditions will improve – the days will pass mostly without precipitation, the wind will blow slowly and it will gradually become warmer. Next week, the thermometer could reach the +20 degree mark again.
