Every year on May 9, Europe Day is celebrated in Europe and other parts of the world. Latvia has been a member of the European Union for 20 years.

When asked how the geopolitical events taking place in the world over the past two years have affected their assessment of Latvia being a member of the European Union, 30% of Latvian residents aged 18 to 65 indicated that they value more the fact that Latvia is a member of the European Union.

Two fifths (40%) of the population have stated that their assessment of Latvia being a member of the European Union has not changed.

On the other hand, 16% of the population indicated that they value the fact that Latvia is a member of the European Union less.

14% of the population did not give a specific answer to this question.

The youngest population in years (18-24 years). relatively more often, they have indicated that, under the influence of the geopolitical events taking place in the world in the last two years, they value more the fact that Latvia is a member of the European Union.
