Dessert is definitely an integral part of the celebration, especially if it is full of traditions and familiar flavors and is a family favorite.

The “Selga” brand invites you to choose one of the delicious and simple recipes of the brand as a festive treat, which can be prepared both with children and with friends. Recipes with a real Latvian taste – the recipe for “Selga” cookie houses, which was so much loved in childhood, as well as cookies and cottage cheese cake with chocolate glaze.

Preparation time: 4 hours

Servings: 8

Required

· Berry – marshmallow cream

· 2 packs of chocolate cookies “Selga”

· 200 g “Lime” vanilla marshmallows

· 350 ml sour cream

· 200 g of fresh berries (raspberries and blueberries)

· 20 g of gelatin

For decor

· 3 tbsp. k. pistachio kernels

· 90 g of white chocolate

Preparation

1. Prepared berry – marshmallow cream. Pour the gelatin into a bowl, pour a small amount of cold water over it and let it swell for 5-7 minutes. In the meantime, cut the marshmallows into small cubes and put them in a bowl. Add sour cream, berries and mix. Melt the gelatin in a bath of hot water, mix it into the cream and put the bowl in the refrigerator for an hour.

2. Remove the cream from the refrigerator. Build houses. Place about 2 tablespoons of the finished cream on the bottom chocolate cookie. Set the cookie aside and add more filling. Then put the third cookie on top and fill the house full of cream through the sides. Smooth the sides with a knife wetted in cold water.

3. Place the prepared houses in the refrigerator. Meanwhile, chop the pistachios. Break the white chocolate into pieces, put it in a bowl and melt it in a hot water bath.

4. Pour melted chocolate over each house and decorate with pistachio crumbs. Before serving, put the cottages in the refrigerator for at least 2-3 hours or overnight.

Preparation time: 2.5 hours

Servings: 16

Required:

· 600 g of cottage cheese

· 330 ml of sweet cream

· 48 pcs. “Selga” classic cookies

· 340 g of “Lime” marmalade “Violīte”

· 200 g of jam of your choice

· 70 g of sugar

· 1 tsp. vanilla bean paste (if there is no paste, it can be replaced with vanilla sugar or vanilla extract, or vanilla seeds scraped from the vanilla pod)

For the chocolate glaze:

· 200 g “Lime” chocolate “Lux”

· 120 ml of sweet cream

Preparation

1. Pour cottage cheese into a large bowl, add sweet cream, sugar and vanilla bean paste.

2. Mix the ingredients with a mixer until a thick mass is formed.

3. Stir marmalade chopped into small pieces into the curd mass with a spoon.

4. Start arranging the cake. Place 16 cookies on a tray or cake board, forming a square, which is evenly covered with jam.

5. Spread the curd mass on top of the jam layer, then put a layer of cookies, cover it with the curd mass, then spread the third layer of cookies, which is also covered with the curd mass.

6. Put the cake in the refrigerator and cool it for 1-2 hours.

7. Prepare the chocolate glaze. Heat the sweet cream in a saucepan, pour it over the chocolate chips chopped into small pieces, let the chocolate warm for a minute, then stir the ingredients with a spoon until a thick chocolate mass is formed. Cover the top of the cooled cake with chocolate glaze.

8. Recommendation: the chocolate glaze can be replaced with the cocoa mentioned above. Then the recommendation is to use unsweetened cocoa powder and, before pouring it over the top, cover the cake with a small amount of curd mass.
