On May 1, officials of the State Police in Liepāja recorded an Audi car, the driver of which was moving fast and aggressively. Law enforcement officers started a chase, as a result of which the car was stopped. Such a trip resulted in seven administrative violations and one criminal trial for the man.

On May 1, at around 10:30 p.m., the attention of the officials of the South Kurzeme station of the Kurzeme Region Administration of the State Police, while patrolling in Liepaja, on Flotes Street, was attracted by an “Audi” car, the driver of which was moving fast and aggressively on Oskaras Kalpak Street, State Police representative Madara Šeršniova informed the portal.
The law enforcement officers decided to stop the car driver and turned on the lights and sound signals of the service vehicle.

On the other hand, criminal proceedings have been initiated for driving a vehicle while under the influence of alcoholic beverages. Such a trip will cost the man 2,000 euros and disqualification.
The State Police reminds that drinking alcohol and driving a vehicle are not compatible – such behavior endangers the safety of both oneself and fellow human beings.
Therefore, the police also call on fellow citizens to be responsible and prevent friends, relatives and acquaintances from sitting behind the wheel of a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
