“Kino Bize” offers a special program for younger viewers in May, showing a selection of family films every Saturday and Sunday at 11.00 a.m. The premiere of the Animation Brigade’s latest short film “Unusual carrot” is expected this month, as well as the first screenings of the film “Adventures in the Land of Ashes”.
May’s family program will be opened on May 5 with the special “Children’s Morning” event, where a selection of the latest and most popular films of the Animation Brigade will be shown. Among them, the film “Unusual carrot” will be premiered, the director of which Inese Pavena will participate in a conversation after the screening together with the characters of the film – dolls. The event will be complemented by a creative workshop where participants will be able to create their own short film, inspired by the basic principles of stop-motion animation.
Throughout the month, the latest animated films of recent months will be shown – “In the footsteps of Don Quixote”, “My strange family”, “Siroko and the Kingdom of the Wind”, as well as the premiere of the film “Adventures in the Land of Ashes” shown at the Riga International Film Festival. Also, a screening of the restored Moomin series classic “Comet is Coming” will be organized and the movie “Moomin on the Riviera” will be shown as part of the “Children’s Mornings” event, which will be complemented by a spring herb planting workshop.
“Children’s mornings” have been held in “Kino Bize” every second Sunday for quite some time now. In order to bring younger viewers and families to the cinema more often, a regular cinema program has been created, in which every Saturday and Sunday at At 11.00, films are shown that are suitable for viewers of different ages, that is, for both big and small fans of good cinema. Viewers who have not yet visited the cinema, as well as those for whom it is already a regular activity, are welcome.
