Tukum and Kandava

Every resident of Tukum and the district of Tukum On May 4, you are invited to put on your national costume and join the national costume parade in Tukum! At 11:00 a.m. gathering at the Tukumas Audēju workshop (Tidahomas iela 3). A few minutes after 11:00, we will go through Vetsukum to Brīvības square on the route Tidaholmas iela – Dārza iela – Harmonijas iela – Jauna iela – Liela iela – Brīvības square. At 11:30 a.m. we will enjoy ourselves in Brīvības Square – we will take pictures of ourselves and each other. Let’s show off our roots, our people and our national costume! At 19.00 at the Culture House of the city of Tukuma, there will be a festive concert program “Stop, listen!”. Performance in honor of Imantas Ziedonis’s birthday. Text by Imantas Ziedoņas, Matīss Žilinskis at the piano and vocals by Edita Strauss and poetry readings by the actor Klāvs Kristaps Košin in a concert program-performance of original music. On the Promenade of Kandava, on May 4 at 1:00 p.m., on the anniversary of the restoration of the Independence of the Republic of Latvia, the singing actors Madara Botmane and Juris Jope will delight the people of Kandava and guests in the concert “I’LL TAKE YOU TO KANDAVA!”. Celebrations in castles and manors

On the other hand, on the terrace of Jaunmoku Palace, on May 4 at 18.00, there will be a solo concert by virtuoso guitarist Māračs Auziņas. For the festive mood before the concert, at 16:00, everyone will have the opportunity to enjoy a three-course meal in Latvian flavors at white-covered tables in the White Hall of the palace. Mārča Auziņš’s solo program will feature specially created arrangements for solo guitar songs created by popular Latvian composers – Zigmars Liepiņš, Imants Kalniņš and Raimonds Pauls. For the festive mood during the concert, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a red velvet cake and a drink from the ABAVA winery. The anniversary of the restoration of the Independence of the Republic of Latvia will also be celebrated at Jaunpils Palace on May 4 at 19:00. Events in cultural institutions of Tukuma region

May 4th will be celebrated in Lapmežciem with a wide program of activities. A special place in this celebration will be dedicated to honoring the poet Imantas Ziedonis. Event program “Ignite in Lapmežciem!” – throughout the day you will be able to get to know and enjoy the work of Imanta Ziedonis in various performances. Educational activities will be provided by the Mobile Nature Class of the Nature Protection Board. Creative workshops and activities will also be offered by the association “Jūrciemi”. There will also be an opportunity to sit at a common table, enjoying the cakes of the homemade cake competition, and the activities of the actor Mārtiņš Počas. On the other hand, at 19.00 in the great hall of Lapmežciems Town Hall, everyone interested is invited to the festive concert of Mārtiņš Kanter. Entrance fee 7 EUR. “White Tablecloth Festival” at the Pūres Culture House on May 4 from 5:00 p.m., an exhibition of Latvian tableware, tablecloths and ceramic products will be on display, as well as – there will be an opportunity to participate in the opening of the painting exhibition of the art studio “Pūres Pindzeles un Co”. European spring in Engure

At the end of the holidays, on May 6, we invite all enterprising and idea-rich inhabitants of the region to the European spring in Engure. It will be a nice series of events dedicated to one of the priorities of the European Union – an economy that works for people. Not only adults and youth audience are welcome at the event, but also children with their small business ideas on how to make the world around us better.
