During the Freedom Relays, the movement of the city’s public transport will be changed

During the “Freedom Relay” run – on May 4 from 12.50 to 2 p.m. – several sections of streets in the city center will be closed to traffic, and the movement of the city’s public transport will also change accordingly. Buses will go around the closed sections of the streets on bypass roads, and seven bus stops will not be served on the closed sections of the streets: “Centrs” (in both directions), “Pētera iela” in Lielaja iela (in both directions), “Mātera iela”, “Svētes iela” in Mātera iela and ” Bus station” on Post Street.

On routes 1 and 19 in the direction from Pārlielupe, public transport will bypass the closed sections of streets via Lielo iela–J.Čakste boulevard–Raiņa iela–Pulkveža O.Kalpaka iela–Lielo iela, further along the usual route. The 1st route trip Center–Tuški at 13.40 and the 19th route trip Center–Viesturi station at 13.45 will start from the bus stop “Ozolskvërs”.

On routes 1, 15, 19 and 25 in the direction of the Dobele highway, public transport will go around the closed sections of streets via Lielo iela–Pulkveža O. Kalpaka iela–Raiņa iela–J.Čakste bulvāri–Lielo iela, further along the usual route.

Public transport will bypass the closed sections of streets on routes 2, 9 and 16 along J. Čakste boulevard–Raiņa street (in both directions), further along the usual route.

On routes 4 and 14 in the direction from Meiju road, public transport will go around the closed sections of streets via K.Barona iela–Lielo iela–Pulkveža O.Kalpaka iela–Raiņa iela–Pasta iela, further along the usual route.

On routes 5, 12, 13 and 14A in the direction from Pārlielupe, public transport will go around the closed sections of streets via Lielo iela–J.Čakste bulvāri–Raiņa iela–Pasta iela, further along the usual route. Route 5 flight Bērzu kapi–Center at 12:35 p.m. and route 14A flight Pärnavas iela 24–Center at 1:33 p.m. will be operated to the bus stop “Uzvaras iela” on Uzvaras street.

Public transport will bypass the closed sections of the streets on route 8 via Lielo iela–Pulkveža O.Kalpaka iela–Raiņa iela (in both directions), further along the usual route. The 8th route flight Bemberi–Autoosta at 13.30 will run to the bus stop “Raiņa Street No. 19” on Raina Street.

Public transport will bypass the closed sections of streets on route 22 via Lielo iela–Pulkveža O. Kalpaka iela–Raiņa iela–Pasta iela, further along the usual route.

SIA “Jelgavas busu parks” apologizes to passengers for the inconvenience caused.

It should be reminded that, in order to provide citizens with the opportunity to attend festive events, city buses will be free to travel on May 4.
