On the side of Cēsis, two men decided to go to their acquaintance with the desire to have a good talk. In order to gain courage, they also drank alcoholic beverages before the upcoming meeting and then sat at the wheel of the car, reports “Degpunktā”.
Shortly before midnight, while patrolling in the Cēsis region, the law enforcement officers became suspicious of the activities of a “Citroen” vehicle on the road. When stopping the car, the policemen’s doubts were justified – the man was not in his right mind behind the wheel of his car.
During the inspection of the vehicle, the law enforcement officers sensed that in addition to the drunk driver and his passenger, there might be another passenger in the car.
A naked man with injuries was found in the trunk. The injured man was taken to a medical facility, where minor injuries were recorded. And later the victim was sent home.
It is known that the abuser and the victim are known. It is possible that the perpetrator, taking an ally to help, wanted to settle the score based on personal motives. Apparently, it was the right time to visit an old acquaintance at the address to settle old scores.
At the moment, both the driver of the car and the passenger next to him have been arrested. Law enforcement officers explain that the investigation is still ongoing.
