“Red Bull” consultant Helmut Marko revealed that the “Audi” factory offers Carlos Sainz a contract for three years, but the Spanish pilot should spend the next season in the “Kick Sauber” unit.

Marko previously stated in an interview that “Audi” offered Sainz a contract with which “Red Bull” could not compete from a financial point of view. Soon the boss of the “Red Bull” team, Christian Horner, hastened to say that Marco is only spreading rumors, because no one knows what the competitors have offered to their coveted pilot.

Anyway, Marko has now come forward with more detailed information that he has.

“Sainz is in great form at the moment,” Marko told OE24. “I think he has a very good offer from Audi for three years, but he has to make a decision relatively soon.” On the contrary, we will not make a decision soon. Let’s not let things like that put pressure on us.”

Sainz himself, while not naming the teams, does not hide that there is a possibility to agree with “Red Bull” or “Mercedes”. The athlete admits that all good options are still possible.

“I think it all depends on what they can offer and what kind of project they offer,” says the three-time F1 winner. “As a pilot, I will always try to look at the fastest option available. Especially considering the shape I’m in right now. As a driver, my priority is to win. There are several very interesting shorter and longer term options that I will consider and consider. Let’s put it this way, all options have their pros and cons. The best part is that all the good opportunities are still possible.”

It is already officially known that Niko Hilkenberg will join the “Kick Sauber” team next year, who will be the pilot of the “Audi” factory in 2026. According to unofficial information, the German has a contract for three seasons.
