Food – a small chicken nugget with salsa in a tortilla – was served to a student at Holbeach University Academy, who admitted it really fell short of expectations.
The outraged grandmother added that her grandson has now decided to take his lunch with him.
When the boy complained, he was offered to “add lettuce to the tortilla.”
Mrs. Cooper complained about this situation to the school, from which a reply was received that “the caterers have agreed to check the quality of the food and increase the amount of added meat”.
A spokesman for the academy said: “This issue was immediately raised with the catering company, who agreed that the food was not up to usual standards and assured it would not happen again. We continue to monitor this and work closely to ensure that the quantity and quality of food meets the standards set.”
