40% of the respondents believe that same-sex marriages concluded in another European Union (EU) country should be recognized in Latvia, while 49% of the respondents do not agree, and 11% find it difficult to say, according to the survey conducted by the SKDS research center on the order of the “Delfi” portal.

The biggest support from those parties whose number of respondents was sufficient to draw conclusions was given by supporters of the “Progressive” party. They were followed by “Jaunās Vienotības” voters, while “JKP” supporters ranked third, 70% of whom believe that a same-sex marriage concluded in another EU country should also be recognized in Latvia.

The survey was co-financed by the European Union through the European Parliament’s Communication Grant Programme.
