On April 24, the students of coach Jelena Visocka took part in the Sigulda Sports School swimming competition “Komplekss 2024”, and on April 26, the students of coaches Egija Kravtsova and Veronika Gorškova took part in the swimming competition “Kraula diena” of the Dobele Sports School.

In Sigulda, while swimming the 100-meter medley, the gold medal in the group born in 2012 and 2013 was won by Valters Stráls with a result of 1:21.58 minutes and Paula Berga with a result of 1:26.56 minutes, as well as gold medals in 2010 and 2011. Juris Zinovičs was the winner in the group born in 2018 with a result of 1:18.72 minutes. The silver medal in this competition in the group born in 2010 and 2011 was won by Madars Avotiņš with a result of 1:23.25 minutes, while the bronze medal in the group born in 2012 and 2013 was won by JSPS student Betija Lāce with a result of 1:35.51 minutes and JSPS student Rihards Lejnieks with a result of 1:22.36 minutes.

In Dobele, while swimming 50 meters freestyle, the gold medal was won by Linards Gudēvics in the group born in 2015 with a result of 40.58 seconds, in the group born in 2013 the gold medal was won by Evelīna Strautiņa with a result of 34.59 seconds, and the silver medal by Anastasija Petrika with a result 37.42 seconds, also in the group born in 2013, Kaspars Kalniņš won the bronze medal with a result of 38.21 seconds, in the group of athletes born in 2012 and older, Alisa Komarova won 2nd place with a result of 39.99 seconds, and Andis Robežnieks with a result of 45 .02 seconds – 3rd place.

In the 50-meter backstroke, the gold medal was won by L. Gudēvics in the group born in 2015 with a result of 46.12 seconds, in the group born in 2013 the gold medal was won by Evelina Strautiņa with a result of 39.18 seconds, and the silver medal by A. Petrika with a result of 42, 24 seconds, also in the group born in 2013 Kaspars Kalniņš won the bronze medal with a result of 46.06 seconds, in the group of athletes born in 2012 and older A. Komarova won the 1st place with a result of 44.88 seconds, and the 2nd place – Paula Savicka with a result of 51.36 seconds, also in this age group 3rd place for A. Robežnieks with a result of 50.44 seconds.

The next competition for JSPS swimmers is expected already this week – from May 2 to 4, the 99th Latvian Open Swimming Championship will take place.
