Almost ran over the President – Tauta Runa

--

Everyone should feel safe at crosswalks, but that is not always the case. The president of the country was also at risk this morning.

On the microblogging site “X” Uģis Lībietis writes: “Today I slowed down especially at the pedestrian crossing so as not to run over the toes of Edgars Rinkēvičs and his bodyguards! Mr. President, before crossing the street, you must look left and right! Bodyguards too…”

Sarmīte Kolāte commented on the post: “I can already see the headline “The head of the Latvian Radio News Service is about to run over the President.””

The president of the country also reacted: “I wanted to say this for a long time: the press is trying to run over me”

Naturally, the media “grabs” such news quickly.

In the comments, people remind the driver: “”Drive more slowly and be more careful at the pedestrian crossing and you won’t have to brake “specially” to let go of its users who “suddenly” and “unexpectedly” appeared on the crossing. Children may also not look, but you will be surprised and you may not be able to “especially” slow down.”

“If there is a pedestrian crossing on the road and a pedestrian is standing next to it or walking towards it, there is a high probability that that pedestrian will cross the pedestrian crossing. Trying to put things like this together develops thinking and cognitive abilities.”
