Entrepreneurs prepare business ideas. One application can get up to 5,000 euros in funding – Staburags.lv

The municipality of Aizkraukle region has announced this year’s business idea competition “Be an entrepreneur in Aizkraukle region in 2024!”. In it, both natural and legal persons can get support for starting or developing their own business.

Compared to previous years, the rules of the competition have not changed significantly, and you can familiarize yourself with them in full at the municipality and on its website. In general, the municipality has allocated 20,000 euros for the competition, one application can receive up to 5,000 euros in funding, but it can also be less.

Applications must be submitted by May 27 in the unified customer service centers of the state and municipalities of Aizkraukles region, association administrations or parish service centers. They can be sent by post or signed with a secure electronic signature in an e-mail to the Aizkraukles County Council. The applications will be reviewed by the seven-person competition evaluation commission, and those applicants who meet the requirements of the regulations will be invited to present their idea. The results of the competition will be known until June 12 of this year, and then they will be approved at the council meeting.

On May 15 of this year at 10 a.m. in Aizkraukle, Lāčplēša Street 4 and on the online platform “MS Teams”, the municipality will hold an informative hour, when applicants will be able to learn more about the course of the competition, the procedure for submitting applications and other requirements.
