On Sunday, April 28, in the ice hall of the Ventspils Olympic Center, the HK Ventspils team became the champions of the Latvian Children and Youth Hockey Championship in the U-16 age group, which defeated the Daugavpils Sports School team in the series with a score of 2:0.
In the first game of the series, which took place in Daugavpils, Ventspils won with a score of 2:1, but in the second game, Ventspils won with a score of 3:1. In the regular season, HK Ventspils finished in second place, while the Daugavpils team was in first place.
