When the husband of the missing Anna, Juris, spoke to “Degpunktā” for the last time, he revealed that his wife had suffered from postpartum depression last year. Unable to cope with the experiences, Anna Janson tried to take her own life. Shortly after, the couple’s daughter Louise was found in Valgunde Parish without signs of life, while the mother Anna disappeared without a trace.

Five months have passed since the tragedy. The examinations ordered by the police revealed that the infant did not die in violent circumstances, but that Louise most likely suffered sudden death syndrome during the night. Anna’s whereabouts are still unknown and her husband Juris continues the search.

At the weekend, the man went for another walk through the Ķemeri moorland. The months-long lack of results makes Yuri still think that Anna might be alive and hiding somewhere.

The more places in the vicinity have been checked, even two or three kilometers away, the less credible the theory that she has stayed somewhere there becomes.

She may have left with some “hitchhikers”, maybe she has also gone a few kilometers to the highway and entered the forest somewhere else. It would be atypical, but it is possible.

After a break of a couple of months, law enforcement officers will soon join the search for Jura in the vicinity of the swamp.
