SIA “Rīgas udes” water management service tariffs will increase by a total of 7.5% from June 1, the Public Services Regulatory Commission (SPRK) told LETA agency.

Among them, the water supply service tariff will increase by 8.5%, reaching EUR 1.27 per cubic meter without value added tax (VAT), while the sewage service tariff will increase by 6.2% – up to EUR 1.03 per cubic meter without VAT.

The new tariffs will be valid from June 1 to May 31, 2026.

On the other hand, from June 1, 2026, the tariff for water supply services of “Rīgas udes” will increase to 1.28 euros per cubic meter without VAT, while the tariff for sewerage services will reach 1.06 euros per cubic meter without VAT.

Currently, the tariff for water supply services of “Rīgas udes” is set at 1.17 euros per cubic meter, while the tariff for sewerage services is 0.97 euros per cubic meter without VAT.

Dace Čodare-Plaude, the head of the Water Management Department of the PUK, states that the biggest increase in the water management service tariffs of “Rīgas ūdas” is related to the investments made by the company, as well as the annual increase in operating costs. At the same time, since the merchant has signed a contract for a lower electricity purchase price, this position has been reduced accordingly.

It has already been announced that the turnover of “Rīgas ūtas” last year, according to preliminary data, was 76.448 million euros, which is 16.3% more than in 2022, while the company’s profit increased by 45.9% and was 7.533 million euros.
