On April 23 and 24, Rēzekne Technology Academy (RTA) hosted a 24-hour business start-up workshop “Business Creation”, led by businessman, investor and RTA Council member Voldemārs Brēdiķis.

Interest in the workshop was unexpectedly high. It was attended by students and graduates of the academy, among the participants were also entrepreneurs from Rēzekne region, Jūrmala and Riga. 37 activists worked on perfecting their business ideas. The spectrum of activity is very wide: nano threads, drones, lasers, psycho-emotional well-being, internet platforms and shops, home-made confectionery, horse riding, computer game industry, dance lessons, metalworking, leather shoes with special floral accessories.

V. Brėdiķis points out: “There is something to see and do in Rezekne. There are enterprising people here. The purpose of the workshop is to create a business road map for each participant for the first year. We worked according to the methodology of start-ups – we identified competitive advantages, defined the minimum product and strategy for entering the market. Everyone could receive individual consultation, spend time evaluating their business idea, look at it from a different point of view”.

The participants of the workshop received a certificate of the RTA Lifelong Learning Center, and also expressed their satisfaction for the intense and fulfilling, knowledge-rich time they spent in the classes. The management of the academy would like to thank RTA Council member V. Brėdiķis for his initiative, dedicated time and encouragement of students.
