In the second round, 10 questions about NATO were most accurately answered by the teams:

  • “Sisu” from “Tērbata Hedgehog in the Mist”,
  • “Zāle Pulka Cimmermanu” from “Purvciema Hedgehogs in the Mist”,
  • “NUA mafia (NUA – indirect fire support)” from “Daugavpils Hedgehog in the Mist”.

Quiz “Latvia’s 20 years in NATO” The Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized in cooperation with the NATO Public Diplomacy Department, the Permanent Representation of Latvia in NATO Brussels, the “Ezītis miglā” cafe network and the “Windau coffee” cafe, as well as the embassies of the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Estonia, Canada, Lithuania, Norway and Finland in Latvia. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its gratitude to foreign diplomatic missions, cooperation partners, the leader of the quiz and every participant for their responsiveness in the course of the quiz!

Celebrating the 20th anniversary of Latvia’s membership in NATO, six Latvian cities – Riga, Daugavpils, Jelgava, Ventspils, Sigulda and Ogre – from March 3 to April 16, 2024, eight “Latvia’s 20 years in NATO” quizzes took place. Its participants had to answer questions about the activities of NATO member states, the armed forces deployed by allies in Latvia, as well as about Latvia’s contribution to NATO and benefits from membership in the North Atlantic Treaty Alliance.
