The coming night will still be cold. A small amount of clouds and a slow wind are expected, the air temperature will drop to -2..+4 degrees.

On Saturday, the sun will warm the air to +14..+17 degrees, in some places on the coast it will not get warmer than +11 degrees. Cumulonimbus clouds will grow, which will bring temporary rain in places; more precipitation is expected in the late afternoon and evening in the central part of the country, where thunderstorms with gusty winds are locally possible.

On Sunday, the air temperature will drop to +2..+7 degrees at sunrise and rise to +17..+21 degrees in the afternoon, while on Monday and Tuesday it will reach +22..+24 degrees in many places. Cooler weather will remain on part of the coast.

A slow to moderate southerly wind will prevail during these days. A northerly wind is more likely on Wednesday and the following days, which may bring cooler air.

Next week is expected to be mostly sunny, with occasional rain on some days.

Along with the arrival of warm air masses, the amount of ozone in the stratosphere will gradually decrease, therefore the intensity of the Sun’s ultraviolet radiation will become moderately high in Latvia next week. In the middle of the day, people with particularly sensitive skin can get sunburned in half an hour if they are not careful.
