Changes in the composition of the municipal council of Ogre region

At the meeting of the municipal council of Ogre region on April 25, a decision was made regarding the early termination of the mandate of the deputy Dace Kļaviņa.

Such a decision was made on the basis of Article 3, Part One, Clause 1 of the Law on the Status of a Member of the Municipal Council, which stipulates that the mandate of the deputy expires before the deadline when the city council has made a decision on the termination of the mandate of the deputy due to the personal written submission of the deputy to resign his mandate.

The municipal council of the region received D. Kļaviņa’s application for early termination of powers on April 11 of this year, in which D. Kļaviņa informed that on April 8 of this year she was appointed to the position of parliamentary secretary of the Prime Minister and the law “On prevention of conflict of interest in the activities of officials” the established restrictions do not allow the position of parliamentary secretary to be combined with the position of deputy of the municipal council.

D. Kļaviņa headed the Social and Health Issues Committee in the Municipality Council.

D. Kļaviņa thanked all the voters who entrusted her to represent their interests in the municipal council of Ogre region, as well as for the cooperation of all team members of the political party “Jaunā VIENOTĪBA”. D. Kļaviņa also thanked the deputies and employees of the county council for their respectful attitude towards her work. She noted that the infrastructure is only shelltherefore wanted to invest more in the people, staff and services that fulfill this the shell with content.

Since D. Kļaviņas was elected to the municipal council of Ogre region from the list of candidates of the political party “Jaunā VIENOTĆBA”, then in accordance with the first part of Article 43 of the municipal council election law, the next candidate from the same list takes her place.

The election commission of the municipality of Ogre region informs that the next in the list of candidates of the political party “Jauna VIENOTĪBA” according to the number of votes received is Igors Miglinieks, who has agreed to start performing the duties of the deputy of the municipal council of Ogre region.
