Today we will enjoy our morning coffee together with the poet Jelena Glazov, who is also an artist, combining image, experimental sound, installation and poetic text in her projects.
Jeļena has participated in international festivals and projects in Latvia, Russia, Estonia, Lithuania, Sweden, Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Turkey and other countries. She has worked as a guest composer at the Swedish electroacoustic research center “EMS” in Stockholm, as well as at the music studio of the experimental art center “WORM” in Rotterdam.
The author’s first collection of poems “Transfēri” published in 2013 (Orbīta association) was nominated for the Latvian Literature of the Year award, the second collection “Plasma” was published in English and Estonian in 2014 in Estonia (Paranoia publishing house). The third collection “Алчность/ Alkatība” in 2019 and the fourth collection – “Naiveness” in 2022 were published by Walter Dakshas publishing house.
