Why is there such an argument that a bi-communal state is something bad? In my opinion, conflict in the country is bad! My opinion is that language is a tool to communicate with, such a comment on this sensitive topic was made by Konstantīns Čekušins, RD MP (S), chairman of the board of the 40th secondary school in Riga, in the TV24 program.

To the question whether in this case language is also a political tool in Latvia, Čekušin gave his answer by minimizing and avoiding giving a clear opinion.
“Yes, some use it as a political tool. For example, I can use a glass to drink water, but I can also use it as a tool to throw someone,” the politician tries to explain this analogy with a specific example.
But it’s not bad, says the politician, because language, twist it as you like, is a tool. “I always say that Latvia can be loved in any language, the main thing is that it be love!”
