4 power transformers-generators from the company “Rīgas ūdes” for various Ukrainian cities to prevent infrastructure damage, food for those living near the front from “Dobeles miller” and also clothing from several Latvian manufacturers. All this – the much-needed, packed in two trucks for the defenders of Ukraine in Kharkiv and the civilians near Slovyansk.
Laura Skrodele, director of the “Entrepreneurs for Peace” Foundation, said: “These are all our already reliable donors, with whom we work, who know who we help, which are the units that receive this help, what function these cars will perform for the brigade. This already is such throughout this, one might say, terrible time that we are all going through, this is a testament to the credibility that we still do and believe in one cause.”
As the director of the “Entrepreneurs for Peace” foundation told, the response of companies to donate to Ukraine is great. For example, “Rīgas vedas” responded to the call for Ukraine at the right moment.
Krišjānis Krūmiņš, the chairman of the board of “Rīgas ūdes”, said: “Here we have to say a big thank you to the Latvian Water Management and Sewerage Association, which coordinated with the Ukrainian Water Management Association for such a need. It coincided with us exactly when we dismantled these transformers from our existing water station, building a new one .”
In Ukraine, especially the frontline soldiers, they are really waiting for these donations.
Jurijs Zakharchuk, counselor of the Ukrainian Embassy in Latvia, said: “The only thing I can say again and again is a big thank you to our Latvian friends! Both businessmen from Latvia and Riga municipality, which helps us find the best and most practical ways to help Ukraine!”
