On April 13, Horens Stalbe, the soloist of the Riga Reggae group, was severely beaten at a fuel filling station in Dobele, as reported in Gita Vīksne’s material “Dobele experiences a bandit attack” in the “Privatā Dzīve” publication.

“I have a broken leg and nose, a bruised forehead, a major concussion and dislocated vertebrae in my neck,” reveals musician Horen Stalbe. He spent all of last week in the Traumatology and Orthopedics Hospital, but will be forced to move with crutches for the next month.

The incident happened in Dobele, where Horen was performing with his colleague Kristaps Struberg In the Oriental bar with reggae, hip-hop and dance. After a well-done job on the morning of April 13, Horen and Kristaps went to the local gas station to get hot buns, where “not very hospitable guys” suddenly appeared and called the employee, who had already prepared buns for the musicians, rude. Horen reprimanded them.

“Kristaps was waiting at the counter, but I was in the sales hall looking at what else to buy. And then these rascals and cowards attacked from behind. I had picked up a packet of potato straws, I was already turning when I received a very strong blow on the head.

After that I found myself on the floor, Kristaps was leaning over me. I had apparently lost consciousness for a moment. I realized that my nose was broken immediately because I was lying in a sea of ​​blood, said Horen.

In Dobele hospital, he found out that his leg was broken. It was necessary to urgently go to Riga to perform an operation. In Riga, as Stalbe says, he was promptly screwed up and repaired and soon let him go home.
