At noon on Wednesday, the number of applications reached 124 participants – 79 in Folkrace, 21 in Folkrace 4WD, 24 in the Cross Commission Cup. These are grandiose numbers, which are, of course, outstanding and demonstrate the growth of the sport this year as well. Another thing is that there will be a lot of planning to handle such a number of athletes so that the competition can end with all the finals held. However, in this case too, the plan is already forming, which will be reported.

It is already clear that more opportunities for activities are planned for Saturday, April 27. Although the regulation foresees the start of the official program in the afternoon and evening, the athletes will have the opportunity to pass the technical inspection starting at 12:00. It is recommended that you use this option, as earlier detection of problems would allow more time to fix the problems before Sunday morning when the race starts.

Currently, 11 participants are registered in the Folkrace Basic Class Junior competition, 11 drivers are also in the Ladies’ Cup, and 17 drivers are planning to start the battle in the Debutant’s Cup. If you include the debutants of the 4WD and cross-country classes, the total number of new drivers is over 20. A great addition!

If all registered participants of 21 or more arrive at the start in the Folkrace 4WD class, this will be a new record number of participants for the class. In the competition, in which only Folkrace, Folkrace 4WD and Cross Commission Cup classes are scheduled to start, the largest number of applications so far was 127 participants last year in Bauska. 137 applications were recorded last fall in Brenguli, however, first of all, the competition did not take place due to weather conditions, and secondly, the Champions cross-country class was also part of the team.

Attention participants! Registered athletes who will not be able to participate in the weekend activities – please cancel your participation in time to help with the planning of the competition!
