The Council of the University of Latvia (LU) has approved the position of three vice-rectors, who will begin their duties on April 3. Prof. was appointed as vice-rector of studies. Kristine Strada-Rosenberg. Assoc. was appointed vice-rector of sciences. prof. Guntars Kittenbergs, on the other hand, as vice-rector of development – Enno Ence.

Prof. Kristine Strada-Rosenberg is a sworn lawyer, an expert in criminal law, until now she served as the dean of the Law Faculty of the LU. For her significant contribution to the development of the Latvian justice system, strengthening of democracy and the rule of law, she was awarded with the Letter of Appreciation of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Latvia, the Letter of Appreciation of the Supreme Court and the Honorary Badge of the Second Degree of the Justice System and the Honorary Badge of the Ministry of the Interior (Gold), as well as received the Student Council of the University of Latvia and other awards . The professor is the author of more than 120 scientific publications and monographs devoted mainly to issues of legal science, criminal procedure.

Assoc. prof. and Doctor of Physical Sciences Guntar Kittenberg is a leading researcher and lecturer at the Faculty of Physics, Mathematics and Optometry (FMOF) of the University of Warsaw. Member of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Solid State Physics of the University of Warsaw and the leader and participant of a number of international research projects, as well as the author of dozens of scientific and popular scientific publications.

Enno Ence is a well-known entrepreneur in Latvia and owner of the brand “Milzu!” founder and long-time manager of the company, lecturer at Riga Technical University and Riga Business School. Actively worked in various business organizations, including the Export Council of the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Currently on track for a PhD in Economics.
