Between Lake Papes and the sea is one of the largest bird migration sites in Latvia.

In autumn, the only bird observation station in Latvia operates here, where ornithologists count and ring migratory birds.

Three nature trails have been created in the park. In two of them, walking or riding a bicycle, you can enjoy the charm of nature and see the most interesting sights in the park. Park visitors can also learn more about wild orchids by walking the new Orchid Trail.

In the territory of the park there is also the village of Pape, the village of Pape Ķoņu, where a rich cultural and historical heritage still exists, the former buildings have been preserved.
